Snowmageddon

Jeff  —  February 2, 2011 — 3 Comments

It is the aftermath of what people are calling, “Snowmageddon.” The snow has finally stopped, but to try and get out of your house or neighborhood is virtually impossible.  My next priority is to shovel the driveway.  This should be fun, since it is 2 degrees outside right now.  I honestly think that this is the worst snowstorm that I can ever remember!  So this leads to the question, what to do on a snow day?  These are some of the things I will be doing. And I Married This Woman?

Jeff  —  January 8, 2011 — 1 Comment

Marriage is about sacrifice, selflessness, and a willingness to place the needs of your family ahead of your own.  That is what today is all about for the Ferguson family.  I am not in this partnership for what I can get out of it.  I am in this partnership to be a willing servant, to make sure that my wife feels loved and appreciated.  Today…that is what I am setting out to do. The Best of 2010

Jeff  —  December 31, 2010 — 2 Comments

Here we go!  The following is a list of what I consider to be some highlights from this past year.

  • Rochelle and I celebrated five years of marriage!  It is so hard to believe that it has been five years already.  I love my wife just as much as when I saw her walking down the aisle almost five and half years ago.  I still say wow!
  • We celebrated Madelynn’s 1 year birthday party!  This year has been amazing as we have watched Madelynn grow up.  I love her so much! Continue Reading…

Week #52

Here we are…the last week of the year!  The church that I work for generously gave us this week off.  I look forward to this time every year as it is a time to unwind and refocus myself for the next year.  Holidays on the church calendar are a busier time as we are ramping up to prepare for special services.  As a result, the week off after Christmas always comes at a great time!  I am ready for it! It’s Christmas Eve.  I have just finished my shopping and I am frantically headed home to wrap the gifts and put them under the tree so that I can be on time for our Christmas Eve service.  Mission accomplished!  Or so I think. Continue Reading…

Today I begin what I am going to call “My 12 Days of Christmas.” 12 days before Christmas (not consecutive) I will post something Christmas related.  Some days it will be a tradition that we have as a family, something from Scripture reminding us of the birth of Christ, or a ministry idea that I have concerning Christmas. So today December 1, I present to you day 1 of “My 12 Days of Christmas.” Continue Reading…

Six years ago today I was nervous…I was excited…there was anticipation of what was to come.  It was this day that my life was going to change forever!  Today marks the day I asked my wife Rochelle to marry me.  That’s right…right before the Thanksgiving meal with both of our families present.  She never saw it coming! Uh oh…Ephesians 5:21-33. This is bound to start a few household arguments today.

Here we go…part two of the “Lessons Learned” series as Pastor Barry talks about twenty-nine years of marriage. Continue Reading…

Ahhh Vacation!

Jeff  —  April 28, 2010 — Leave a comment

Sleeping in, sitting by the pool, Mexican food, and no schedule.  These are just a few things that I love about vacation.  Rochelle and I are loving our time here in Southern California.  We are taking everything in and enjoying the surroundings.  Today was Madelynn’s first time in the pool.  She absolutely loved it!  I will post pictures later.
