Glory In The Highest by Chris Tomlin

That’s right!  It is November 17 and I have already started to listen to Christmas music!  Our Christmas tree will go up on Friday to make everything “official.”  As things ramp up to the start of the season, I must say that Chris Tomlin’sGlory In The Highest” is the best Christmas CD I have ever heard! Honestly, I could listen to it over and over again.

“Glory In The Highest” definitely has a worship feel to it, which is the biggest reason I love it.  The songs we sing during Christmas contain some of the best lyrics that point to Christ and yet we sing these songs in much the same way we sing, “Jingle Bells.”  However, I must say that “Jingle Bells” or “Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer” is often sung with a little more spirit.  Chris Tomlin brings these Christmas “carols” to life, returning a very strong worship element to them.  This is what sets this CD apart from other Christmas albums.

So if I am choosing between Mannheim Steamroller and Chris Tomlin this year…I’m going with the latter.

What is your favorite Christmas song or Christmas album? I would love to hear your thoughts.  Variety is where it’s at!
