It is the aftermath of what people are calling, “Snowmageddon.” The snow has finally stopped, but to try and get out of your house or neighborhood is virtually impossible.  My next priority is to shovel the driveway.  This should be fun, since it is 2 degrees outside right now.  I honestly think that this is the worst snowstorm that I can ever remember!  So this leads to the question, what to do on a snow day?  These are some of the things I will be doing.

Dance wildly around the house with my daughter

Madelynn loves music!  She loves it even more when all of us dance around the house with her.  The crazier I look the more fun she has.  Our music of choice is usually Hillsong Kids. This my friends is a true dance party!  If you look inside my window and see me looking really foolish, just know that it is all for the kids.

Shovel the driveway

This is a daunting task, but one that is reserved for the man of the house.  I am that man!  I will brave the elements to make sure that my driveway is immaculately shoveled.  Is it weird that I compare the shoveling job of my driveway with the job of others in my neighborhood?  Since it is a mundane task I just have to make it a competition.

Get ahead

I will use this time when the rest of the world is shut down to get ahead.  Right now I am about a day ahead of schedule with everything I have to do.  This is a good feeling!  I may not be at the office, but I am definitely working.

Take advantage of the time

I will also take advantage of this opportunity to spend some quality time with Rochelle and Madelynn.  How often do snow days like this happen?  This year they seem to be happening more often than not, but I will take advantage of the extra time I get to spend with my family.  Why not have fun with the extra time that is given you?

What are some things you like to do on a snow day?  Let us know in the comments.
